Okay we admit it, we’re biased when it comes to how we feel about Norfolk! At top place in our hearts for a summer’s weekend destination, for us, there’s no better place to soak up some good ol’ fresh air that’s good for the soul. For an idyllic, atmospheric break, nothing quite hits the spot like a weekend in the rural English countryside. Plus, the mere sight of the sea will immediately take your mind away from the antics of your busy office… We know we’ve got your attention now, after all, who wouldn’t want to spend a weekend in this postcard-pretty county?!

Where can we start?! Naturally we gravitate first and foremost towards Burnham Market; this heavenly town marks the spot of the first ANNA store! After browsing the shops, take your pick of an array of wonderful surrounding beaches for a long walk (and a dip if you’re brave!). Holkham beach is our absolute fave - it’s one of the most unspoilt and beautiful stretches of sand in the country and honestly, you could walk there for hours and not get bored! Spend the evening back in Burnham Market, starting with a drink at The Hoste then mosey on down to the popular North Street Bistro for supper - making sure to book ahead as this is regularly full!

Now, for day two, take your direction East along the glorious coast. Along the coast road you will find bucolic villages and towns like Stiffkey and Blakeney to name a few. Just before the latter, take a long lunch at The Anchor in Morston before a long walk around the quay (provided the tide is out). If you have children with you (or not, we won’t judge) then opt for a seal trip with Temples, depending on the time of year you may well spot the fluffy cub among the dunes. A short distance from there, drive inland to Holt where we have another ANNA store!
