The seasons changing always brings a breath of fresh air to our everyday wardrobes. The excitement of new trends down the catwalks and all over social media is fun to browse through, however, sometimes it's difficult to see how you can incorporate these trends into your own outfits. To make sure you can easily stay on top of the seasonal fashion while staying true to your style, we have put together some easy options of AW20 trends that can be effortlessly added into your outfits and mixed and matched with what you might already have in your closet.

Head to toe in toffee

The one-tone trend is definitely here to stay and of course neutral shades of brown are more than fitting for the autumn season. To match the beautiful colours of the falling leaves, bringing out your favourite beige items are a must this season. From accessories to knitwear and jackets, luckily different shades of toffee are something that a lot of us already possess. Some easy items to add to your head to toe tonal outfits would be some new loafers, a very on trend boho bag, a new easy to style jumper and of course the slouchy reversible caramel jacket of our dreams from Weekend Max Mara.

Loose tailoring & Capes/Wraps

Loose tailoring and straight lines has been a trend for a few seasons now and we don’t see it stopping any time soon. This season adding a cape style coat or a wrap to your tailored look has made being trendy that much more cosy and comfortable. Try this Joseph trouser and cashair knit combo with a pair of heels or trainers for comfort, finished off with a wrap to add a touch of glamour and guaranteed warmth to the look.

Cardigans & Checks

From shrunken cardigans to the classic chunky grandpa knits, cardigans are bigger than ever and a great go-to for layering. We love to combine the trend with the print of the season, checks. This is an easy look to style for different occasions by just switching up your shoe choices and accessories. Team the below looks for the office with some ankle boots or switch them up for some trainers for a casual weekend vibe.

Statement Sleeves & Chunky boots

A statement sleeve with some ruffle or a simple balloon sleeve is huge this season and a very easy way to elevate a simple shirt and jeans look. Whether you are dressing for work or to go out for a socially distanced dinner and drinks, this trend will take you there in style. An easy option with a statement shirt is to keep it simple on the bottom with some black skinny jeans. An of course, this season's footwear trends are all about practicality, but the chunky boot will also add a touch of edge to your outfit.

Long leather jackets and polka dots

One of our favourite trends for this season is long leather jackets. Whether you want to channel your inner Matrix character or add a pop of colour with a red long leather jacket, this is a great trend for the changing weather. Another trendy print, polka dots, is also easy to incorporate into your autumnal outfits. Colour block with a red jacket contrasting with the Primrose Park polka dot top tucked into some slim fit tailored trousers or black jeans. Finish the look with some lace up brogue shoes from Weekend Max Mara and you’ll be ready to take on whatever the day throws your way in pure style.
