The Best Firework Displays in London

Remember, remember the 5th of November... quite unbelievably it is already that time of year! The nights are drawing in earlier, the leaves have inevitably turned brown and a chunky knit is all we have been reaching for recently. Alas, with autumn comes a host of exciting events; the build-up to Christmas, festive parties but first and foremost: Bonfire Night. We round-up our favourite locations to see the sky light up in London…

NORTH LONDON
Let’s start in the North! After work on Friday 1st, we’ll be heading to Alexandra Palace to see (arguably) the best firework show the capital has to offer. On top of a firework display, this festival also has a pagan fire-lighting ritual, funfairs, comedy and live music; all happening with a panoramic view of London as its backdrop. Not one to be missed, due to its popularity this year it is happening on the Saturday too. The people have spoken!

SOUTH LONDON
For you Southern folk, the firework display at Battersea Park (2nd Nov) is hugely popular and spectacular; so there’s no surprise to know that award-winning pyrotechnicians are behind the illuminations. Be sure to book in advance, these tickets are a notorious sell-out year after year!

EAST LONDON
One of our favourite parks in London, Victoria Park plays host to a free firework display this Bonfire Night (3rd Nov). Supported by the creators of All Points East festival, we can expect big things from this evening of lights, music and special effects. Arguably one of London's best fireworks displays, this year's theme (which changes each year) focuses on the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

WEST LONDON
Last but by no means least, if you’re in West London then the firework show at Ravenscourt Park is the one for you (2nd Nov)! Fun for the family, this event provides a special display for the kids at 7.15pm before the main display begins at 8pm, which will be choreographed to music! Head for the bright lights of the funfair and food stalls, before hot-footing it to local pubs.
