Sustainable Brands

A common misconception in fashion is that we can’t enjoy the season’s trends as we have to take sustainability seriously. And although this is true to an extent (step aside, fast fashion!), there are an array of collections out there who are trend-focussed as well as being environmentally responsible, too. Now, more importantly than ever, we celebrate our eco-friendly brands at ANNA and find out why you need them in your wardrobe...

SELECTED FEMME
Our go-to for pared-down Scandinavian chic, Selected Femme boasts responsibly-sourced pieces which have less impact on the environment. Their denim is crafted from organic cotton, meaning less water and less energy and they use an ecological and clean viscose fibre in their manufacturing. Plus you won’t need to break the bank either - the price point is decent, the quality is high and the pieces are fashion-forward: tick, tick, and TICK.

VEJA
With a strong focus on transparency, fair trade and social and environmental responsibility, Veja’s cult trainers have gained a loyal following - and rightly so. Aside from being the chicest thing for your feet right now, the natural rubber sole of the sneakers are sourced directly from seringueiro communities in the Amazon rainforest to save on water, energy and harmful emissions. We’ll be wearing ours with everything from printed dresses to ankle grazing denim.

BAUM UND PFERDGARTEN
Setting the standard for style and sustainability, Baum und Pferdgarten recognise that the way in which our fashion has been manufactured previously has been irreversibly detrimental to our planet. And although they know they’re not perfect, they have a set of goals to ensure they reach where they want to be in the future; using totally sustainable fabrics and methods of production. Snuggle up this season in one of their sugary pastel cardigans.
