Even though we are all dreaming of those international holidays to our favourite destinations, we aren’t quite able to book our holidays abroad yet, but instead can enjoy our local destinations here in the UK this summer. Even though you might not be crossing any borders on your holiday, it doesn’t mean you can’t plan some fabulous outfits to wear to your staycation destinations. Whether you are heading up north to the Lake District or down south for the sandy beaches of Cornwall, we have put together some outfit ideas for your summer staycations.

When you want to stay cool but also protect yourself from the sun, style your favourite lightweight cotton or linen shirt with your favourite linen shorts. This outfit looks instantly put together but casual at the same time. And the best part is that it works everywhere, whether you are staycationing in the city or the countryside.

Wide leg trousers and lightweight, flowy styles are our go-to style for a summer staycation look. Style your favourite printed wide leg trousers with a simple t-shirt and trainers for a simple look. If you want a dressier option for an evening out, opt for a matching set from Primrose Park or even mix and match the different prints.

One of the must-have summer items in general, but especially for a warm weather getaway at the coast is an easy summer dress you can wear to the beach, to dinner or a day out in the town. Style your dresses with comfortable trainers for a walk out to the town for simple summer chic or simply add your favourite sandals when heading to the beach. We have great options from kaftan style dresses to simple cotton jersey dresses that will work for any occasion.

Jumpsuits are a great option for staycation outfits, especially a light linen style that will keep you cool in style in the warm summer sun. Style the Velvet jumpsuit on its own or layer a white shirt underneath for added detail and warmth.

Of course, you will need some loungewear to stay cosy on your evenings in. Agolde’s sweatpants are a lovely neutral style with a straight leg that is very on trend at the moment. Team the sweats with a comfy long sleeve t-shirt and add a lightweight knit on the colder summer nights.

Whether you are spending your staycation days lounging on the beach or staying active on long nature walks, Anya Hindmarch has some great accessories to keep your items organised in style. The straw bags are a classic summer holiday accessory that you can easily fit your necessities in or switch it up with a sporty yet chic backpack that has a pocket or place for everything to make sure nothing gets lost on the way.
