After weeks of rain, we are finally seeing some sun and summer weather here in the UK, and the timing could not be better as we head into the long Bank Holiday weekend. We can now finally take out our summer wardrobe and make sure we are not missing any staples for the warmer weather. Whether you are heading to a barbecue, garden party, picnic at the park or a nice pub lunch this weekend we have got you covered. Here are some of our favourite outfit ideas for the sunny weekend ahead.
Of course, firstly we are digging out our favourite flowy, colourful summer dresses. Whether you are throwing on a flowy A-line midi dress or a shorter mini, you cannot go wrong. For a picnic at the park or a casual barbecue, add a classic white trainer with your favourite printed dress or switch them up for some wedge espadrilles from Castaner if you're looking for a more feminine summer look. Add a lightweight jacket to keep you warm in the evenings.
We love a timeless classic look and something we can throw on easily but still look put together for a day out. Style your favourite jeans with a crisp white shirt. Throw on some leopard Ganni sandals and add a straw bag from Anya Hindmarch to finish the look with some fun summer accessories.
Lightweight wide leg trousers are the perfect option for the changing weather. Go for a bolder look Primrose Park wide leg Kylie trousers in a red and pink tiger print and team it with a simple t-shirt. High waisted wide leg trousers are great for elongating your legs. Finish the look with a chunky white trainer that just slightly peeks out from under the trousers.
If you are heading for an afternoon tea this weekend and want to dress up a bit more, opt for a flowy skirt with a silky top. Try mixing prints with a squiggle print skirt from Rixo and a classic Sandy top from Primrose Park for a print on print feminine look that is very on trend this season.
Last but not least if you want to keep things simple but add a bit of colour, we love neutral shorts with a printed top. Go for a full Moliin look with their linen shorts and combine with a lovely lightweight printed top to add a bit of colour. Finish the look with some chunky sandals or a classic white trainer.
