Betty Jackson is a British designer who has always been inspired by artists and painters. Initially her idea was to put the paintings that inspired her onto cloth and cut them into clothes. Although the silhouette of her clothes has changed changed radically since the early eighties, she remains strongly inspired by the visual arts as far as colour, texture and mood is concerned. Betty Jackson began her company in 1981, has won countless British Fashion and Style Awards and was awarded an MBE in 1987. Betty Jackson designs are classic with a twist. They are good for the older customer who wants something slightly quirky and the cut is generous and excellent for tall women.
Betty Jackson has always believed the clothes should perform for the wearer in any given situation, and loves the idea that the outfit you choose at the beginning of the day should take you effortlessly through to the evening, simply by changing your accessories.
